BHBL High School PTSA

SO MANY WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

We recognize that most of you live a busy family lifestyle.  But please know that when we all lend a hand to spread out the workload, we can accomplish an awful lot!  The PTSA offers parents (and students) the opportunity to get involved as little or as much as you want. Check out the list of PTA programs and then just let the PTA Board know that you have some time or talent to share.  Be sure to ask the PTA board about PTA office vacancies too!  Every volunteer is appreciated by the teachers, staff and children, whether you are in the classroom once a week, once a year or even if you can only help out at home.

How to Become a Member of the PTA
Please accept our invitation to join and become a partner in education.  PTSA membership supports our programs and the statewide work of the PTA.  Typically, a membership drive occurs in September in which you submit your membership form and payment.  If you missed that opportunity and want to become a PTA member, you can register September - February by filling out the attached PTA Membership form and submitting your payment to your child's homeroom parent.

How to Make a Donation to the PTSA
Just Write A Check! Did you know that you now have the option to support PTSA programs by participating in our “Just Write a Check” campaign? This option is available throughout the year and allows for 100% of the proceeds to go directly to our PTA Programs ~ Arts in Education programs, Scholarships, Staff Recognition Luncheon, and more! It’s a convenient way for you to pay your fair share!

How To Nominate an Exceptional Volunteer for our Founder's Day Award
Founders Day is a reminder of the substantial role that PTA plays locally, regionally, and nationally in supporting parent involvement and working on behalf of all children and families. It's a time to reflect and take pride in our many accomplishments, and to renew our commitment to be a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for parents, and a strong advocate for education.

Each year you are encouraged to nominate a parent and/or staff member for the Founder's Day Award.  The winner will be honored at the District's Founder's Day Dinner in February sponsored by the BH-BL School District PTA.  Nomination Forms are due in mid-November, check the list of past CHES winners since you can only be honored one time.
